With saddness - he was called home

As the bagpiper plays Loch Lomond!! to call his home

It is with a heavy heart that we tell you that our dear friend Bill (the Scots man) Has passed away.

it was too quick and many of us never knew how quickly it was to be and that we would never get a moment to say goodbye.
Here he is with my Short husband at a night we all enjoyed very much.

He was a wonderful Husband, dad and grand dad, but too young to be leaving them all. It took just a short few weeks from the moment he found out he was so very ill.

A truly wonderful man and brother to all masons has passed away on Monday 11th May 2009 now with the great architect of the universe.

I am sure he would not want too much fuss but just a little! So dear friend it is with a very Heavy heart that Rob and I wish you many more trips over the highlands of Scotland and may you forever hear the bagpipes so you can find your way home again.

Dear friend we will miss you!
and wish you were here to enjoy a whisky or two with us right about now!

God bless a Great Mason and a member of Zetland lodge.
It is with a heavy heart that I write this post.
By yon bonnie banks And by yon bonnie braes,Where the sun shines bright On Loch Lomond
Oh we twa ha'e pass'dsae mony blithesome days, On the bonnie, bonnie banks O' Loch Lomond.
Oh ye'll tak' the high roadand I'll tak' the low road,An' I'll be in Scotland before ye', But wae is my heart until we meet again On the Bonnie, bonnie banks O' Loch Lomond.

I mind where we parted In yon shady glen On the steep, steep side O' Ben Lomon' Where in purple hue The highland hills we view And the morn shines out Frae the gloamin'
Oh ye'll tak' the high road and I'll tak' the low road, An' I'll be in gloaming before ye',
But wae is my heart until we meet again On the Bonnie, bonnie banks O' Loch Lomond.
The wee bird may sing An' the wild flowers spring; An' in sunshine the waters are sleepin' But the broken heart It sees nae second spring, And the world does na ken How we're greetin'
Oh ye'll tak' the high road and I'll tak' the low road, An' I'll be in greeting before ye',
But wae is my heart until we meet again On the Bonnie, bonnie banksO' Loch Lomond.

Lee-Ann, My sincere sympathy in the loss of your friend, Bill. Such a lovely tribute you wrote and the bagpipes are so pretty to listen to. My great grandfather was a Mason.
May God bless his family during this time of loss.

Oooh so sorry to learn this...a great man "called home".
We lost my dad, at age 57 it's far too young to say goodbye.
My thoughts are with you and his family, may they have treasured memories to share forever.
Hugs

Every thought is a prayer for Bill and his loved ones.

I'm so sorry you have lost your dear friend. It's so sad to have to say good-bye to those we love, even if it is for just a while. I pray the Lord will comfort you and bring you peace.

I read the post below and unfortunately I know nothing about high tea.
However I have done tea parties for my little granddaughter's. Of course I used my best china and lace and they were told to dress up which they did. I was amazed at how even the little tomboys pranced around like dainty little fairies.
I made sandwiches of white bread, no crust three slices high with colored fillings then sliced into fingers. They also had a whipped jello dessert and cookies decorated with frosting roses, and pastel mints decorated with frosting drop flowers. (I do cake decorating and have all the equipment to do the frosting flowers myself) fruit juice to drink from pretty china cups too.
I will be doing this for my great granddaughters soon.

I'm sorry to hear of your friend's passing, Lee-ann. It's always a shock to hear of a sudden passing like that. However, I guess one good thing about it was that he didn't spend months or years just wasting away. When I go, I want to go quickly.

Sorry for the loss of your dear friend, Bill. Partings are hard with such little time to prepare. I pray he had time to prepare for eternity with God.

Your tea party looked lively. What a great social gathering.

Stay warm this fall and winter ... we are just now enjoying the beauty of spring.

Hugs,
