BUSH FIRES ALL AROUND VICTORIA - AUSTRALIA

Hello everyone I just wanted to show the latest map of the bush fires here in Australia. homes have been lost and most of Victoria is covered in smoke I know we are having trouble seeing anything further away then about a few meters.
We live in the middle of the map about between maryborough and Ballarat give or take a few miles. but since this map with put out there is now a fire not far from here a paddock fire that is getting stronger by the minute I believe.
see you all again real soon. This is my Friday "I think" :o)

That's a little frightening, Lee-ann. My goodness, so many fires. You're in my prayers.

Seems a few of us Aussies have been on the DSE website and displaying the same map on our blogs. I hope the fire near you is under control now, and no damage has been done to people or structure. The smoke haze here in Melbourne has been awful today, and I spoke to friends at Bonnie Doon, who said the smoke is so thick their eyes are stinging. Hope all the fire fighters stay safe in the amazing work they are doing.
Take care, Meow

Lee-Ann I am so sorry to hear this. I have not heard about the fires in Australia. I do not listen to the news much because of all the troubles. Please take care. I hate to hear it. Are you in danger? I see that they look way too close to you. Keep us all informed. sandy

Hello thanks We are fine but the alpine is not I hope these winds do not hit them as it is ever so windy here. we had a fire were we are but it has been quickly put out.

I have been away from blog for a couple of days only because of a great sadness in our family. Our dear aunty my dad's sister in Scotland passed away and being so close to her and being so far away our family are finding it very hard.

Lee-ann, I have been watching constantly on television and you and Gina have been in my thoughts. as you know, we had bushfires a few weeks ago. Please, please stay safe and please drink lots of water. I am still struggling with my throat which was affected by the smoke.
And I am so, so sorry that your garden is dying. In the next few days I am going to make you a rain stick dolly and send it down.
oh & your stocking was finally sent of yesterday, sorry its so late - hope you like it xox
