Hello to all my friends out there and thank you all so very much for the great comments and support in this slow adventure of house renovations. yikes!! it is going way too slow.
I have been missing from my blogger for a few days as it is very hectic here for a couple of reasons..................but first to answer your question.
:( NO THE PLUMBER HAS NOT RETURNED YET!!
My dear husband is loosing it! I think he wants to go visit the plumber at his home and drag him here to finish the job.
SO!
we decided as the house has come to an ill timed stand still we had to go on with something else and as the extension is going out further into our paddock we have to remove a very old, very over grown Cyprus pine hedge............well the hedge was a beautiful one over 100years ago then it was left to its own devices and it grew huge branches reaching high in the sky like trees and if you climbed under the bottom you could see the original hedge no longer alive but still there so I will let the photos tell you what we had to do.
You see how the men had to discuss all of this for a good long time before they got the job done I almost wanted to go over there and take up the chainsaw and do the job while they all stood there discussing the issue...................men!!
Now I will not be around for the next couple of days we are having a huge night for ladies and the men of the masonic lodge (a whiskey tasting night) with a meal and a little fun for one hundred people and guess who is doing the meals yep! me we are having roast chicken with beans, carrots & baked in their jackets potatoes. we are also having a haggis as it is a Scottish night with bagpipes if the man comes and then dessert of various cheesecakes, pavlova, custard tarts, lemon tarts and many others on a help yourself table of desserts.
It will be a lovely evening I am sure.
This will be my very busy Tuesday so I hope your day is filled with much happiness.

I just sent you an email, and now I have the answer - lol! Hope the big night goes well for all, and that a certain person doesn't do something to spoil it...
That looked like a big job.
I think 'step back and punt' comes to mind.... when reading that you changed the focus of your pursuit. While the stars were not aligned to get the house work moving. :-)

While your place looks like one to be avoided for the time being, the whiskey tasting night (with bagpipes - love 'em!) sounds wonderful. I hope you are able to post about that one day. If you can remember anything that went on, heh heh.
Hope you have a wonderful time at your events you have planned. Sounds like fun.
Good luck with the house...Don't let those men stand around too much...lol
Hugs,
Connie
Renovations are never easy or pleasant....at least that's been my experience. I hope your husband doesn't have to drag the plumber back there!
Are you doing ALL the cooking for that whiskey tasting? I hope you still have the energy to taste a bit and have some fun.
A renovation nightmare waiting for plumber, have a great night at the lodge hope your get time to do some whiskey tasting..
You must be very patient indeed waiting for that plumber, but then what choice do you have!
Hope your whiskey night is a fun escape for you!!
xo
Lee-Ann have a great time!! You must be a good cook. That would scare me to death to think I had to cook for so many people. I do not like cooking at all!! Take care and tell us all about it. I would also find myself ANOTHER plumber!!

The Scottish night sounds SO fun. i'd love to hear more about it!
I think you are being very patient with the projects! I think I would have pulled my hair out by now!
Hope you're having a good week!!
What a job removing that tree! I hope your night out is as fun as it sounds! Can't wait to hear about it.
You are havig a very busy time
You are having a very busy time!!
Good luck with it all!!
That looked like one large hedge! What a job, but you know that men always have to discuss the job before getting on with it.
Hope the plumber turns up soon. Maybe he's frozen to his pipes!
What is it with plumbers and other construction workers that makes them promise to come and not show up? I guess they always think they can do more than they can really do.
Have a wonderful night out. I've been to and hosted any number of wine tastings but never a whisky tasting. In fact I think I've only tasted whisky once or twice in my life.
