Life is SO! much fun - when there are family & friends in your life

BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR POPPI ROB!
He was thrilled and so were the grandchildren
Poppi's birthday party - here he is with just a few of his grandchildren (two missing) they were all very excited to think it was poppi's birthday and they got all the balloons and cake too.

Our daughter Amanda took one of Rob's baby photos and had it made in icing and this was the beautiful cake she had to surprise him with.

Always the kitchen of our homes is the center of every occasion and this day was no acception we had dear friends with us this night and here you can see Gina from Patra's place and her husband filling plates with very nice roast. our son-in-law Tony helping his two and dad & daughter chatting in the back.

Son-in-law doing the dishes, yes! he did and our daughter who is going to be a mum again chatting with Gina.
Son Robbie and his little one (he has two children) and his dad (birthday boy) Notice it is another kitchen photo.

Chatter and gathering is something this family is good at we all like to talk at once and laugh together and again in or around the kitchen.

A precious moment daddy & his little girl.

Now look at this, Gina who collects vintage embroidery pieces can always find a piece to admire and here yes in the kitchen of our daughters home she found a tablecloth and spent a little time chatting about this piece and her collection with Amanda.

Yes! Life is such a lot of fun and never to be taken for granted.
As Gina said to me so kindly last night I am blessed with such a family filled with laughter, happiness and hope. But friends complete the picture so Gina & Ken thank you for being part of a lovely afternoon.
Psssssst!..................the plumber is here but he had to get a nasty phone call this morning from my DH to get him to get here and finish the job.
This is my Monday...............Now were is that plumber I will go watch him that will drive him on faster heheheheheheh!!!!!!

And great fun was had by all...

Kitchens are the only place for gatherings...it's the same in my place. People come in an just gravitate to the table and plonk themselves in a chair. The loungeroom is there for overflow...as my place is small, that happens quite a lot.

Looks like you had a lovely birthday party for Poppi Rob. Hope he enjoyed it with his grandies, too.

It looked like a wonderful party.. Happy Birthday to Rob...
The Kitchen is the heart of the home so it is only fitting that everyone was congregated there. The cake looked not only amazing but delicious!!
Your family is lovely!!

Looks like a great time. I am loving how that cake was decorated. Most of the best parties head toward the kitchen. It is more personal and cozy in there.

Take care,
Connie

The photos came out well!! We had such a beaut time with LeeAnn and her family - it was a real priviledge to be invited to join in what was otherwise a family occasion. Leeann is always saying how blessed she is, and now I understand why. Her family are all as sweet and friendly as she is, and the little ones just adore her and Rob, with good reason. They will grow up with wonderful memories of being surrounded by all that lovin' hugs and cuddles!

I just love all these photos Lee-ann. The cake is wonderful. It's amazing what the cake decorators can do any more, isn't it? The kitchen is always the heart of any gathering in my house too and I wouldn't have it any other way.

What a great birthday party. Happy birthday to him. And after scrolling down through your previous posts, thank goodness that plumber finally came back. What a mess!
