Please take a plate for supper? (I CAN DO THAT!)

YES can you please bring "A plate" for the supper.
Gosh! yes I can do that (well I think so, anyway!)
I was given by my Darling husband this past week a new (yes modern "smiles") cook book, one I had been wanting for awhile now.
I love the story of "the Crabapple bakery" and you can see a little about it on their web site.
So there I was with a beautiful cookbook filled with O! SO! lovely cupcakes to make and me wanting so much to try them all out.
I decided to make the vanilla cupcakes from scratch, I creamed the butter and made them step by step and the results were wonderful.
When they were cooled I had the best! time decorating them with "bits" I had bought over the past weeks.
Did you know Cupcake toppers are even on eBay...........No! I didn't either until now! (smiles)
Anyway I plated them up and off my darling husband and I went to the evening outing and my cupcakes for the ladies and the men were a big success..................WELL NONE CAME HOME.
cupcakes for the ladies (smiles~I did see the men take these too)

And cupcakes with stars~very suitable for the evening.

I was even asked if I could make four dozen or so for a charity event to be held by the Order of the Eastern Star. Well how could I say no! when there are so many recipes in this great book to try.

Thank you to Jennifer from this lovely bakery for a fantastic little cookbook

Happy Blessings this Sunday to you all

Hello Lee-Ann!! i am sorry that I have not been here to visit much because i have been gone to my parents. My dad had a little bit of trouble but he is better now. He will be 90 this year. My mother is 85 and I think was just happy to have me there for support. We live about 1000 miles from them.
Those cupcakes look really good but very fattening!! smile

Yum, Lee-ann, those cupcakes look delicious...and it's obvious they were if none came home.

There's something about cupcakes that's very comforting somehow. I feel as long as we make cupcakes all will be right with the world...agree?

Your cupcakes look so pretty. Isn't it nice when we bring home an empty plate! I hope we'll get to see more of your creations.

LeeAnn - Truth be told - I never met a cupcake I didn't like. This all looks so yummy. I'll have to check out their website and then send my DH on a virtual tour. He is a bakery junkie and he'll enjoy taking a look.

Lee-Ann, you've made me wish for one of your lovely cupcakes too! What a lovely job you did with them, and what a wonderful hubby you have to buy you a new cookbook :)
Your little granddaughter looks so sweet in her ballet outfit. You sure do have fun being a grandma! It's the best thing ever, isn't it?

Promise me you will bring a plate of those for dessert when you next visit...pretty please?? I've seen a few recipe books lately devoted to cup cakes. They must be making a come back! And why not - they are easy enough to make, but I don't think I'd have the patience to decorate mine as beautifully as you have!
PS Update on Ken on P's other place.
