Just a little update

Hello dear friends - first thank you all SO MUCH!! for your kind comments and I know it has helped us having so many family and friends beside us.

My husband is home - I don't believe it either but they Have no beds to keep him in hospital so they felt the best place was to have him home going back for many other tests and results of earlier ones.

So we are here, me following him around like a little puppy watching his every move not wanting to let him out of my sight.

He is such an "I'm ok!!" man and has always had trouble letting others know exactly how he feels. But the doctor has said he is going to be ok! and your prays and mine I am sure have had much to do with that result.

The question the doctors are asking is "WHY" so there is much to be done to find out why. They do think that a blood vessel ruptured in the memory part of his brain and that it recovered very quickly.

I am still so worried and last night just watched him as he sleeped - I have taken for granted that my darling would always simply be there. I will not take anything for granted ever again.

Thursday at home!!

That's such good news Lee - Ann. I'm so pleased for you all. We all take things for granted and it takes something like this to bring us up sharp and value every day.

Hope you sleep a little better tonight. Night and God Bless

I am thankful for answered prayers and happy that your husband is home beside you. I continue to pray for both of you and also for the dr.'s who are working to diagnose the problem. I pray for you both to have strength and peace during the days ahead. God bless you both, Mildred

That is the best news I could have Lee Ann. I am so happy for you and I hope the recovery is complete in short order. I am sure he is much happier at home but I expect it is a strain (from the worry) for you. Look after yourself now as well please!

"He's going to be ok"...have words ever sounded so wonderful?:-) I guess lack of beds in a hospital is a world wide problem. They're even canceling surgeries at our hospitals because of lack of beds! Hopefully future tests will show exactly what happened to him. Still keeping you in my prayers. xoxo

Lee-Ann, I'm glad to hear your husband is home, and I can very much understand you watching him constantly and following him around. Your concern and love for him is keeping you ever vigilant. I hope and pray that the tests will reveal what the Drs. need to know and that your husband will continue on his path to recovery.

Dear Lee-ann - I have missed a few days of reading blogs so have only just learned of Rob's illness.

How frightening it must have been for you both, even at the hospital when you had to wait so long.

Thank goodness, the news so far is good; let's hope the permanent news will be even better.

I can imagine you following him around like a puppy.....that should be enough to make him get better just so that you will leave him be.....lol.

Truly, Richard and I both wish him very good health in the future, and for you also, Lee-ann.

We often think with pleasure of the wonderful evening we spent with you - and hope that we will meet up again.

Love and best wishes to you both.

I'm so glad I called you last night...I would have got an awful shock if the first I knew about Rob was reading it here! Ken is flying to Qld. on Sunday morning, and back home on Wednesday, so he'll have another week and a half of his holidays left. We'll make a day during that time to come up and visit, okay?

Hi Lee-Ann I just caught up with your blog, I'm so glad your hubbie is ok, I am thinking of you! It sounds like the hospital care was below par, he is so lucky to have such a great partner and family around him.

oh how I understand this. Once when mike was just 40..he was really close to having a heart attack. he was taken to the hospital while we were on vacation. I sat up all night and watched him just making sure he was okay...He was but I was so scared...i know how you feel about Robb. I don't think that we take each day as it comes and be thankful for one more day of being together...I know you will now for sure. Sandy

Lee ann, I found you on Jan and Tom's place.
My husband also had a stroke in August, and was in hospital for 3 weeks here in France, then transferred to a Rehabilitation centre for 6 weeks. His balance has been affected, but he is doing so well. Like your husband , it was a haemorrhage into the brain.I would encourage you to hope and pray for your husband, these smaller strokes take time but they tell me recovery is good.
