With swords drawn "Let the battle begin!"

Rob Has been told his biops have come back positive for cancer and after the shock of the news we decided that the battle was on for a full recovery.
So my darling husband now after he has recovered from his last operation has to go back into Hospital for another operation to take out the other half of the thyroid. Then they hunt down any thyroid cancer cells.
We know there will be a battle but we also know we will win!! the war.
Thank you all for your kindness and good wishes, it helps truly it does.
I leave you with some spring colour that is finding its way into our garden & that has to be a very good sign to this family.

I'm thinking of you both, and was hoping for an update.

Please know that we have our own swords drawn (we could, literally---Chris has two, and may come back today from a show with another). We have you in our hearts and prayers---Chris is five years past his own surgery, and totally healthy.

We'll be with you in every skirmish, every hospital trip, every moment, my faraway friends, and wish you the very speediest recovery.

Your Spring photos are sp pretty!! It's the begining of Autums here and the leaves are turning color and falling from the trees.

I pray your husband will have a complete recovery. I had my thyroid burned out with radiation several years ago. It was not malignant but was overactive and couldn't be controled with medication. It took a little doing to get the replacement hormone adjusted but I'm doing fine now and so will your husband.

Father God I come boldly into your throne room, as you have instructed us to do, because my Lord and Savior, JESUS, sits by your right side EVER to make intercession for us. Father God I bring my dear friend Lee-Ann and her precious husband, Rob, to you this day. Father God I pray the peace that passeth understanding surround them completely and wholy as they walk through this trial firmly in YOUR hands. Father God we know it is by the stripes of Jesus that we are healed because HE, whom we love and serve, has purchased that healing for us. All these things I pray in the precious, precious name of JESUS. Amen

So sorry to hear the news about your husband having cancer .. but you have a good outlook. I pray that God will heal him.

Some doctors need to go back to school or their mother's homes and learn good bedside manners!

Lee-Ann, just want you to know I haven't overlooked your blog..just been a busy week at this end too, but Ken's problems are overshadowed by Rob's now - he was really shocked when I told him about Rob. You and I have some tough times ahead, don't we? But attitude is everything, and you two will come through this like you have with everything else you've faced together.

Lee-Ann, please know that our family is in this battle with you. My oldest daughter, the mother of 4 very young children, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in December of 2007. She has had her surgery and the radiation treatment already. It was a scary thing to go through but thyroid cancer is one of the easiest and most successfully treated. Her follow-up tests have all been clear and her meds are now at the right levels. Today you would not know to look at her that any of this has happened. It was the encouragement from other bloggers that had experienced thyroid cancer that helped us through this. I was astounded to find out how many people have been affected by it and have been just fine following the surgery and treatment. I am sure Rob will be as well.
