Just a few more photos..............:o)

Day two of our tiny holiday found us up early and ready to go straight to the ocean looking for more of the salt water rushing around our feet, but first breakfast.

This was our breakfast table at Port Campbell a little village in a cove that is filled with lots of charm. But soon it will be all a thing of the past, a motel chain is going to build a 100 bed motel there overlooking the water there are already some 6 motels approx. there but they are all tiny and discrete. I guess that is progress.

The view for us from our breakfast table was so nice and the cool of the morning was the perfect start to our day.

The views are at every turn of the great ocean road and you just have to stop get out and take just one more photo.

This is a nice photo in time they will all come crashing down as they are battered by the waves and the sea. hubby loved it there and it was always hard for us to get back into the car to travel further along the road.

This little pink flowers were on the path to one of the views and they just asked ever so kindly "could they have their photo taken?" :o)

Hubby and I prefer to take the roads less travelled and this time we went in part along the "old" great ocean road only to find some lovely yummy very old apple trees on the side of the road just waiting for us to pick their huge big apples. They are probably about three weeks too early to be picked but I will make a pie and touch it with sugar it will be fine.

We have an orchard here at home and have grafted some 42 varieties of apples on the trees and I was amazed that hubby right up said o! these are pippins or something like that.

Just one more glimpse of the ocean......nothing between this little part of the ocean and Tasmania and then beyond that the south pole.

I have a couple more stories to tell you all but do not want to bore anyone with all these photos so will save the "London bridge photos and the stone wall" for another day and another post.

Thank you for letting me show you my holiday snaps it somehow makes it all the better when you can share with friends.

This is my Friday.......................another hot day of just on 100deg but that is ok! because.

"ITS SUMMER"

:o)

LeeAnn,
I feel like I've been on a vacation with you! Bill and I also enjoy taking the "road less traveled" especially when we don't have to have one eye on the time.
I never tire of the photos of the sea.
Thank you for sharing!

Oh you are such a tease Lee-Ann. Those photos are gorgeous and bring back memories for me. The last time we were on that road was when I was about 10 years of age. My grandparents took my Mum and me on a huge trip in their caravan from Inverloch VIC to Perth WA. It was an amazing holiday. Poor Dad had to work. Thanks for sharing your holiday with us. Lots of love, Nicole xox.

Thank you Lee-Ann, for commenting so sweetly, in my blog. And for 'hearing' the drum roll, even! ,-)

Oh and don't think you will bore me, with more about your tiny holiday! I soooo love all those pics. Especially of the shore. We love to visit the shore {Cape Cod} and have not been able to, in sooo long. I have to show these photos to my husband, too.

And I also love it, the way you say things in such a cute way, like; "This little pink flowers were on the path to one of the views and they just asked ever so kindly could they have their photo taken?"
Saying things in such a way, makes a blog special, to me.

Oh and, though I don't even say it, in my Profile, we are in the NE of the US.

Hi,

This is my first visit to your blog and I love it!

You have have a very beautiful blog and the music is so uplifting and just wonderful. In fact when I hit the comment button it stopped and my dear daughter asked what I was listening to and I said it was beautiful and she said "YES! It is! Can you turn it back on!" So we will be sitting here on your blog listening for a while.

I love all your photos too. What a wonderful blog! You have definitely made the blog world a more beautiful place!

Ah, the great ocean road, I remember it well. I also remember my husband being a "wee bit crook" and a little unnerved by the edge of the road so close to the drop off cliffs and our driver teasing him about his fear of heights! Great memories!

Lots of love! Enjoy your beautiful holiday!

You could never bore us with such beautiful photos!! It's so frigid here today, just looking at the photos helped warm me up:-) Can you imagine being able to look at that kind of view EVERY morning? So very beautiful! xoxo

I dont know why you would think this would bore any of us. I love pictures and seeing the country from your prespective. I love seeing other parts of the world too. I hope that I can take some pictures when we start out WEST. Course we are not going on a vacation. We are going to pick up my parents and get them back to Illinois and our trip will have to be quick...not much stopping...have a great weekend...Sandy

LeeAnn, I couldn't find an email address for you, so I'll leave this in your comments. The skirts are so inexpensive to make and it would probably cost you more to mail it to me than the fabric costs. I will just make another one and send it on your behalf with mine. Would that be ok with you?

Hi,

I live in Colorado, USA and we are expecting a blizzard this weekend so I am LOVING your summer pictures! I miss the ocean, we haven't been there in years!

--I can't post my new blog address in your comments, so I will just leave it here:

Or if you prefer, you can purchase one there and mail it to Randi. Her email address is in her blog so you could contact her directly. The only thing she requests is that it be the same basic style and that it have an elastic waistband.

Let me know what you choose to do.

I love the Great Ocean Road - we visited there 18 months ago - great photo opportunities!
We used to live in Macedon and I loved the bakery in Kyneton - best chocolate eclairs, ever!
