The colours of Spring on a beautiful Sunday

Well the colours of spring are truly here now and sitting here in a field of daffodils you sure do know how wonderful mother nature is.
This Sunday is the last day of the daffodil festival here in Kyneton and so we went to the parade and then had lunch put on by the CWA "country women's association" and then it was out to see the Private open gardens..........a beautiful day.

A field of daffodils with cows grazing out back :)

These are so much more beautiful then what the photo shows.

Cherry blossom there is nothing more beautiful for a spring show!

Just a little closer look at a wonderful display

spring shows itself in many shapes and many colours "all beautiful"

I have many other photos to show you like the inside of the church all dressed for the final day of the spring festival but will show them very soon.

It is a beautiful WET!! spring morning here so happy Monday to everyone.

I truly love Autumn, but if I had a choice, I would take Spring! How nice to see photos of daffodils blooming again in your part of the world!

Beautiful photos! Love the cherry tree - it's fabulous.

Re your other note, prickly pears are also native to California. They seem to get around - they also grow in Israel, where they are called sabras.

Hi Lee Ann,
Thanks for visiting my blog. Are you a blog friend of Sienna in Victoria?

I love the photos of the Australian Spring. It makes me homesick.
Your cherry tree looks like the Kwanzan in my rear garden. Here's a photo of it on a Belgian photo website where I sometimes post.
I hope the link works.

Spring is much more colourful down your way than here. We have the odd spring flowers but not as many as down south. At the moment all the bauhinias are flowering, as are the orchids and some people have daffodils and jonquils flowering too, but we don't have the cherry blossoms like you have.

Glad the weather's getting warmer, though!

Lee-ann - your photos are stunning, especially when enlarged. (May I suggest that you add "Click on photo to enlarge" to your posting?) Those white daffodils are truly beautiful. Thanks you so much for showing us just how lovely Kyneton is looking at the moment. Let's hope you get lots of rain and it stays that way.

Oh Lee Ann, I so love that first picture of you amidst the daffodils, just glorious!! I've always thought that cherry blossoms are the most gorgeous blooms on a tree. Your Spring has truly arrived and it's beautiful:-) xoxo

Beautiful cherry blossom, Leeanne. Leanne my friend Denise who lives in Robertson, NSW is a keen environmentalist and has a blog called The Nature of Robertson at http://peonyden.blogspot.com. If you pop over you will see a post where a man in Japan has been in touch asking Denis for pictures of single cherry blossom in Australia for "Flower Viewing". Apparently, Japanese prefer single cherry blossom and most Australians prefer double cherry blossom. So Denis has a call out for photos of single cherry blossoms because he has been unable to provide. Any up your way?

Blessings and bliss

Oh, HEAVEN! Heavenly, heavenly! A hill of daffodils! That's just so lovely! I always get such a kick and a jolt when I read your blog and you are 'off season' from me! The internet makes the world a small, small place, does it not? Here in Sunny Sacramento we are gearing up for the Fall when the rains come.

Fields of flowers, how beautiful. I still find it difficult to imagine that spring is happening for you and we are going into autumn. It certainly is an upsidedown world! LOL
