From Winter to Spring ~ My Friday "show & tell"

GOSH! HI! MY DEAR FRIENDS............

I feel like I have been away for a month or two.......but here I am back and looking forward to catching up will all those great blogger friends out there.

Here it is Friday so I look forward to doing this weeks "Show & Tell" and as always a big thanks to Kelli who hosts this fun blogger post each Friday.

As many of you know we here in Australia are going from Winter to Spring and so this time each year I love to change the bench on my kitchen from a warm snuggley!! look to a much more open and brighter one with a little spring colour added.

So...................My "show & tell" this week is simply a kitchen bench going from winter to spring.

All winter long the kitchen has been warm and cozy! and the heavy colours suit the redgum bench tops and the vintage style that fills my home. I love the burgundy "fowler ware" bowls and the bakewell pieces as well.

I adore aprons and use one all the time this green went well with the "winter looks"
My husband loves the Hull pieces from USA and his favourite coffee cups and coffee pot are used all the time. I like to drink a coffee or tea from a cup & saucer so the japan brown transferware was a lovely winter style.
But............now it is Spring and with this lovely season comes spring showers and blossoms so the kitchen is filled with an anticipation of the summer ahead.
I love the blues and pinks along with soft greens and a touch of yellow that comes with a spring day. I have added them now to my kitchen bench and popped away winter for another year.

A lovely spring cake that is easy to make always sits under the glass cake dome and a cup of tea in these little treasured blue and while cups is such a joyful thing to do.

My bench is now a happy spring display and I know I will enjoy this season using these cheerful pieces.

This is my show & tell this week and I am off now to visit everyone so look out I am on my way!!! :)

Friday in My part of the world!!!

Lee-Ann,
Thanks so much for the information on my cabinet and what that center pull down compartment was for. It makes a lot of sense...

well, that was an awesome display!Love all the dishes especially--how beautiful. I love the way different cups/dishes give you a different feeling--even their texture. I love the variety of life and the variety of God'creation; I think you reflect all of that on your tabletop--Praise Him!
