Our busy weekend! The new Marshal elect.

Yes I am, as many of you know in the Order of the Eastern Star.
This weekend was a very special time for us as it was the Installation of the New Worthy Matron and her Office - Bearers of which I am one and so is my Husband.

Here I am the new Marshal for this coming year I look forward to it very much.

What a horrid photo! O! well you are what you are I guess, but we do look rather proud.

Rob is the new Chaplain and I know he very much looks forward to doing that job. We have a true and sincere pride in our positions.

Today we spent the day getting up late cooking breakfast on the barbecue and drinking too much coffee. Yesterday and evening was a long day! that was for sure so today's quiet time was well worth it.

Tomorrow I am going to visit my daughter and be with her for the afternoon and help with the young ones when they come home from kinda and school.

I hope your week is filled with happiness!

Pardon my ignorance, Lee-ann, but what is the Order of the Eastern Star?

It's a lovely photo of both of you and yes, I agree, you both look very proud, and so you should be, too.

I hope the year in office goes very well for you both.

Good Afternoon Lee-Ann
Thank you for visiting my blog last week. I really appreciate it very much. Congratulations on you being Marshal for this year with the OES. You both look very nice and proud. I thought I would come and visit you for a bit. I enjoy meeting new friends and getting aquainted with them. I am really getting into this blogging. LOL. I am fairly new to it. I still have lots to learn. I do hope you will come back and visit again. If you don't mind, do you care if I add you to my blogroll? You can let me know. Take care my friend and have a great time with your daughter and and grandkids. God Bless you.

Well I think you look just lovely in those photos. It is always so hard for us to see the good when we see our own picture looking right back.
So happy things are going well for you.

You look beautiful! I remember my grandmother being in Eastern Star while I was growing up, and she would never tell me anything about it, said that it was secret, and I'd have to be initiated before I could know more. Sadly, I never got to that point before she went to Heaven. Now I don't know anyone who is in it. Except you! Except you're half a world away. lol :)
