Show & Tell Friday & It is already February My gosh!!

Here it is Yes! February and my first Show & Tell for the year

Thanks to Kelli from "There is no place like home" who is our lovely host each week.

My "Show & Tell" This week is about some very special pieces from my crystal Jewellery box.

I am not sure if friends know but I am Half Scottish! Yes my dad came from Scotland many years ago and fell in love with my mum. He lived here in Australia all the rest of his life and became dad to five of us..................anyway that is another story.

I have always loved scottish Jewellery and have a few treasures that mean the world to me.

This is the little dressing table from the bedroom suit I have of my grandmothers and there is the few pieces of jewellery I keep in the lovely crystal jar you can see there.

I love the Scottish thistle and Have a brooch of my grans and one my mother-in-law gave me. The teardrop is hard to see it has a thistle on the top and I am not sure what the amber stone is but it was my Gran's.

Maryanne (gran) lived in Motherwell so I love to hang it round my own neck and feel her with me.

This little ring my husband Rob bought me many years ago when we went to Motherwell in Scotland to visit with my family. I had no idear there were so many beautiful people in my family why they wouldn't even fit on the one big bus. :)

My darling husband knew it would be a special reminder of our wonderful holiday in Scotland and I thank him always for this darling treasure.

The little circle brooch was given to me by my dear Auntie Sarah who has passed away, she gave me this brooch and told me that even though I was here in Australia the circle of Scottish thistles on this brooch was a reminder always of the circle of love my family in Scotland had for me. I think of her gentle soul and words every time I pin it to my blouse.

The bracelet was a gift from my grandmother who came out from Scotland in about 1977 she had some beautiful pieces with her and loved to use them all. One day while visiting me and my family (I was married then) she asked would I like something from her pieces, Of course I said no but when she left I found this bracelet in my room, I had told her I loved it days before. That is what giving is all about to give of yourself, of your own treasures they are for forever. It reminds me of the lovely visit I had with her all those years ago.

So this is my "show & tell" today and I send good wishes to you all.

Hope your brother gets better. That sounds like my son, he lost 2 fingers and wanted to play hockey right away.

Your vintage jewelry is lovely and what makes each piece even more beautiful is that it was given to you with love...That kind of jewelry means the most to me.

I also want to add that my dad fell and had a possible fracture in his wrist. Wasn't long before he was trying to figure out how to ride his Harley with the brace on.

I pray your brother does well.

Hello Lee-Ann!! I am not in Georgia this week but in Illinois with my parents. My dad had a bad upset this past Sunday while at church. he just blanked out. They have diagnosed him with alzheimers. He has been put on new medication which I think is helping. I am going back home this coming Monday the 4th. Sandy
