******How proud Am I ?******

A little post today about my mum!
How proud I am of this lady who is my mum and an artist.

So I just want to show off some of her latest paintings that went into a huge art show and sale today and I am sure her paintings will sell first!! (smiles)

This is a set of three poppies and they are quite large O! mum these are so beautiful you have truly excelled.

And this one is also at the exhibition and while it is so different to the poppies it is so very much the kind of art I associate with my mum. She and Ron live by the sea and so these beautiful Victorian style painting are so popular always. Well done mum.
She also did a pair of Roses and no one can paint rose like "my mum" even if I do say so myself. Hers always feel like you could just touch them and expect to feel the softness of the petals and the depth has you looking inside the beautiful flower..............but you will have to take my word on that because a picture of her roses I will have to show you all another time.
In this my art filled Friday - I wish you well!
A LITTLE NOTE HERE TODAY : The poppies have sold on Mon.12th "mum is thrilled"

spectacular. Lee-Ann, your comment over at my place today had to be the most uplifting thing anyone has ever said to me. To be seen as someone whose "feet are firmly on this planet while your heart sings high above", well that is my heart's desire and to hear someone say it just gave me goosebumps of delight. I look forward to getting to know you better!

You are such a lovely lady!
I must to say that I shared a few tears of JOY, while reading your lovely comment!
I`m sorry for not been around much... It`s hard to find time to do so many things that I want or meant to do when I have 3 little ones!
I had a quick look at some of your past posts...
And I must to say that you have wonderful grandchildren!
You are a very lucky lady!

You have good reason to be so proud of your Mum - not just for her paintings - but for so many, many things, including raising such a lovely daughter as you.

Her paintings are wonderful....I'd love to see more of them. Flowers and scenery are my favourites, so I could happily curl up in a corner of your Mum's studio and watch her at work......lol.

I hope you and Rob had a very good New Year and that 2009 will be full of wonderful experiences and very good health for you both.

Your Mum is one talented lady, and her daughter takes after her! How long is this art show on for, LeeAnn? And whereabouts? Ken and I love to see what our friends and their families are doing in the way of art and crafts, and we like to buy something for our home as a memento of that person.

I'm always amazed when someone can take a canvas or piece of paper and some paint and make it look ALIVE! These are sooo amazing. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I agree, time is almost too rare to blog much less drift around and visit anybody anymore! But remember, we are always just a mouse click away! Kindly, Miss Pink Ponsonby

Hey Leanne,
so sorry I didn't get to meet up with you. We stayed in Creswick for two nights and during the day, we rode all over the area.. through Castlemaine, KYNETON & Malmsbury.. *sigh* ahh well, wasn't meant to be.

I love the poppies, Joe's mum was an artist too and we have many of her floral water colours & oils hanging in our home.. Congrats on the sale of her painting!

Your Mom does beautiful work. No wonder her poppies sold so quickly! :o)

I love your background and header, Lee-Ann. I'm going to check out the designer's site.

Looking down your posts, I love those knit slippers! Makes me wish I could knit, but it escapes me. I can crochet anything I can look at or have a pattern to read from, but I've never learned to knit. I might have a little more patience for it these days.

Thanks for your visit. I hope all is well with you and yours, my friend. :o)

Love and hugs,

Diane

Hello Lee-Ann....

What a talented Mum you have..... you have good reason to be proud. The pictures of poppies are quite exquisite, and what a good flower to capture in art for in life they are so short lived......

The picture of the rocky coast looks very English.

Love your pretty blog Lee-Ann. Have a good weekend. Marion

Hello dear Lee-ann, I'm so glad to know you're safe! How terrifying to have the fire come so close to your little town. My heart breaks for all those who've endured the misery of these horrific events. It's impossible to imagine such dreadful happenings! I thank God you and your family are safe and pray for the families who've lost so much. My prayers are with you all. Thanks for letting us know you're OK. Sending love and a big hug, my friend.
