Words could never describe the past two days...........NEVER!!

A VIEW FROM ABOVE OF OUR STATE VICTORIA BURNING

108 confirmed dead - many more missing
(NOW ITS 131 CONFIRMED DEAD)
NOW 173 DEAD............
over 230++ lost...........
we are all so sad.
750 houses lost - many more yet unknown
1300 homes lost now.
2800 homes were lost.
31 fires still burning
Many towns GONE! - nothing left
Bushfire disaster - many fires lit by firebugs.

There are too many stories too sad to put words to!!!
but I keep thinking about the young man, skin falling from his body holding his little baby child and looking for help telling the story his older child and wife have been killed in the fire.
May the fire bug Rot in hell!!!
Or the father and husband this morning asking if anyone has seen his family. His wife and three children still missing.
The television shows nothing but town after town now gone!! home after home destroyed!! family after family missing!!
In Bendigo our son's home missed the fire by just one street. He cannot believe all that beautiful bush around him and 65 homes and a life lost and his home still stands.

Gracious..I guess that I have not been paying attention to the TV..Mike says that he knew about it...wow!! I am so glad that you two are safe and your son and his family too...These stupid people that start fires...Awful!!

Oh my word, Lee Ann!!!! How horrible. Please be safe. I have heard NOTHING on the news about this. We are too embroiled in our "economic crises" for the news networks to take time for anything else I guess. We ALL better stay under the protection of His wings. Psalm 91!!!!!

Been trying to call you but without success - just get the answering machines. It's been awful. One of my friends works for the Bendigo Bank in Hurstbridge, and she said today many of their customers who lived in Kinglake and St Andrews have lost everything, and have been coming into the bank for the government hand out. She said it has been heart breaking.

I am so glad you're safe, Lee-ann. As for the arsonists, it's not just arson any more...it's murder.

Oh Lee-Ann,you are right that words can't describe it, I am so glad you are ok, it could so easily have been one of our little towns, how lucky are we? I am just in shock today, everyone here is walking around silently and there are no tourists, it is strange.

Much love (and stay safe),

Mother of God, LeeAnn. I'm just sick for all of you and this terrible tragedy playing out throughout your country. Unbelievable. I'm so glad the fire missed your town. Close it was, but, a miss is a miss. I'm staying more closely tuned in this week to see how things are going. Love, Annie

Lee Ann,

I saw the pictures on the news. What a horrific experience to go through. I can't believe someone did this deliberately. I hope they catch him and put him in prison for life.

I am praying for you and your family, your neighbour and the others that are facing this terrible ordeal. May God keep you safe in His hand.

Blessings,
Mary

Oh, Lee Ann, such a terrible, heartbreaking thing to happen. I can't imagine how bad it is. I saw your PM on tv this morning and he looked just sick. I'm so glad you and your family are safe. I hope you won't mind a prayer going up for you.

Hello dear Lee-ann, I'm so glad to know you're safe! How terrifying to have the fire come so close to your little town. My heart breaks for all those who've endured the misery of these horrific events. It's impossible to imagine such dreadful happenings! I thank God you and your family are safe and pray for the families who've lost so much. My prayers are with you all. Thanks for letting us know you're OK. Sending love and a big hug, my friend.

It's so tragic seeing this on the news all the time. The BBC is carrying the story and there's lots of information on the website to help people see what's happening.

Hard to believe that anyone could have done this deliberately.

It's hard enough to see your home go up in flames but families and firemen losing their lives, it's awful.

Take care Lee-Ann

Dearest Lee-ann, my heart goes out to you and all those who are being affected by these horrible fires. We've been seeing on our news the total devastation and to think that some of those fires were started by someone just makes me ill. Please stay safe and know that I'm thinking of you. xoxo

Oh Lee-Ann how horrible...what an awlful nightmare. To think that someone would deliberately set some of these fires...unthinkable! I cannot imagine the suffering even one person/family has gone through, let alone so many and at such a horrible cost. Thank God no one can harm or destroy the eternal security of our souls. The devil would do it if he could. Sin is so wicked and such a destroyer. I too am thankful you are alright.

I have been following the news and am apalled at the devastation. God help all the people who have been injured or have lost loved ones from this henious act.
There is no punishment great enough for someone who would do this.
I have seen pictures of the animals running in terror from the flames and to know that humans were doing the same makes me furious at the one who caused it.
I pray for the Lord's comfort and healing to all who were affected.

Praying hard for you and for all the other victims as well.

Just checking in to see how you and Rob are, Lee-ann. I got your email about the accident; sorry I haven't replied to it. I'd intended to try and phone you again, but time just got away. Ken said he could see the fire flames from Eastlink today. This is getting worse, not better. We finally got our rainwater tank installed, but it's far too late of course. Everything is dead or dying, and we just spent $260 having the front yard cleared.

I'm so sorry for the tragedy that so many of you have endured. What a heat wrenching story of this father and child. On another note, I love your Mom's Poppy painting - really delightful! My prayers will be with your community that faith, strength and determination will slowly bring some normalcy back to your lives.
