Tea from a vintage teacup - how lovely.

Hello all my dear friends well I have finished work and am now on holidays for a week of two yippee! what an eventful three weeks that was.............I just have to go and see the manager tomorrow hand over the keys and then I think I will go and see a couple of my grandchildren for afternoon tea. Floss 2.1/2 loves to have a cup of tea with her Nanni and Jes 5 must have a soy milk with biscuits.

Yesterday my hubby and I went to visit his mother and I went also to take a look at a great second had vintage shop and look what I got hubby bought me two of the most beautiful trios I have ever seen the photos do not show their true beauty.
I am thrilled to now be the owner of these very sweet pieces and cannot wait to have an afternoon tea moment under the pear tree in my garden

They go so well with all my other pieces I truly need a bigger home I think but I cannot help just adding one more(or two) item to my shelves.
We also got these lovely 1950's prints and they are in such good order I know just were they will hang when the renovation is finished lol lol lol

My mum will love these hello Mum and Ron if you are taking a little look at my blog :o)

Thank you all so much for your comments on my blog in the past three weeks I have been working 6 days a week and have had little time to do the laundry let alone visit my blogger friends but now I am going to get to see you all real soon.

Made it safely to this day "my Monday"

Oh I love those teacup trios! I have a teacup/saucer collection and it's just so hard to not buy every one I see. The vintage ones are the most beautiful to me, rather than the new ones in the gift shops.

The teacups are just beautiful, and I love those prints. I think we must like the same kind of things! It's probably good we live on different sides of the world or we would be competing for all the vintage shop goodies!

what great finds, the teacups are so lovely and the prints are as well. I don't know what it is about a proper tea cup and saucer - they are little treasures.

The trio's are beautiful. I just love the thrift shops. sometimes the "finds" are better than the purchase.I know I've told you before but your blog is so onderful it brings Pear Tree cottage and your wonderful family right into my home. Just wish we lived closer.

What beautiful teacups. Viewing them reminds me that I have TWO and it takes three (at least in my mind) to make a collection. I've been thinking about looking for a cup and saucer I can't live without. Looks like I will continue to look with this pretty inspiration.

Lovely! Goodness, you've had some drama since I was here last. (alas, too many beautiful and wonderful blogs it takes me days and days to visit each one). I am glad that all is well now.

The "toe truck" joke was precious and gave me a big smile this morning.

I've always loved those "odd-shaped" plates. We'll be seeing lots of them on the weekend at the Fryerstown Antiques Fair. Will wave to you as we pass your house, Lee-Ann!

Hi Lee-ann
Nice to hear from you and thank you for nice coments. They are always welcome. Funny you should mention vintage swap as I am having trouble getting info on my swap partner.

Teacups and lovely floral prints for the wall! It just doesn't get any better than that! I've recently been looking for a sofa and trying to explain to male furniture store buyers that not EVERYONE wants brown LEATHER because SOME people are LADIES who like FLORAL things and Tea-cup things just goes in one hairy ear and out the other. Sigh.

Lovely finds Lee-ann. What luck. I have a few of my mum's 3 piece teacup sets that my favourite aunt would often bring her and I treasure them!
The prints are so pretty!
Enjoy your time off and your teaparties with the grandkids :)
