"This is for My friend Gina"

Afternoon tea and lunch with a friend another time.
Dear Gina
I was so sorry to hear you both would not be up tomorrow and that you are feeling unwell.
Gina is a collector too! (she is on my sidebar) and you will find the most beautiful embroidery pieces from all around the world on her blog you have ever seen.
I cannot tell you how many she has but the aprons and the tablecloths are my favourites for sure.
When I got home from work today I said to Hubby I had this and that for tomorrow and he told me you were not coming as you were not well, so I thought this is the only way I can share with you some of the lunch treats I have, well had! we ate them just before! (((smiles)))

I hope this cheers you up just a little but hubby wishes you to know there is none left now!! he ate one of them and even ate the rose lol lol lol lol!

The artist cook who makes these has just opened a new shop in town so I got two for a treat for you and I Gina.

Never mind there will be other times I am sure, I just wish you a speedy recovery and look after yourself my friend

This is my Saturday...................thinking of Gina and wishing her well.

We will see you soon I am sure.

Aaawww, LeeAnn - what a darling person you are! Gosh, I've just got a sore throat, itchy eyes, and my chest feels tight...not a good combination, but not a death sentence, either! Still, there are some nasty viruses around, as you and Rob know, so if I am a prime candidate for something worse, I don't want to be passing it on to you. When you called, we had Sharon and Pete here, and if I'd been thinking straight, I would have passed the phone over to Sharon so you could say hi, but I must be woolly minded with this virus, because I just didn't think of doing that until afterwards.
Those cakes looked absolutely delish...what if I feel 100% tomorrow and we come up after all? Rob will feel so guilty - lol!
Hugs from Gina and Ken

Oh goodness! Can't it be for your friend Melli too? I've ALWAYS wanted to go to a "real" tea! Can we wear hats and gloves and be "ladies"? *sigh*... well, I do hope those cupcakes last until you and Gina can really get together! (Gina is a very lucky friend!)

Hi Lee-Ann,
Isn't blogging wonderful. Your friend Gina got to at least "see" your beautiful tea table even if she couldn't be there.
Hope she feels better soon. Those cupcakes are a work of art!!

Lee-ann, I am sorry to hear that Gina isn't well. Will pop over to her site and leave a message. Your tea-table looks wonderful. Are the cupcakes locally made or do they come from Crabapple Cupcakes here in Melbourne? And your green milk glass mugs! Herself (my daughter) collects that sort of glass too. It is an argument in our kitchen between her green and my blue and white cornish ware!

Blessings and bliss

If only I had known that such wonderful delights were going begging as I passed your house this weekend, Lee-ann! Were they from Malmsbury. I've never seen anything that fancy in Mrs Robertson's Bakery, or whatever it's called these days. Hmmm, must check out Crabapple Cupcakes that Miss Eagle is talking about.

Wasn't the rain wonderful! Our dam is a third full, which is quite a lot as it's a million-litre dam. And all the green!

Hi Lee-Ann

I hope your friend, Gina, is well soon.

Have a lovely week.

Miss Eagle and Val no they are not crabapple cupcakes they are made and sold in Kyneton down in piper street, which was a very busy antique shopping area a few years back then it went real sadly quiet with many moveing out but now!! wow it is hard to get a park in the street these past few months so no they are true country goodies and you can get them also at the farmers market in daylesford I beleive.

thank you everyone and one day lets have a real big gathering and I'll bring the cup cakes "ok?" just imagine all the chatter and not having to use our keyboards to do so! lol lol.

LeeAnn, I've just read all those posts, and want to thank all your Blog friends for their kind thoughts for me! Some of them have even popped over to visit my blog, which was such fun. At times like this, one realises that there really are lots of decent people left in the world, despite the horror stories we are exposed to in the media on a daily basis. Wouldn't it be great if we could all meet up in person one day. Miss Eagle recently emailed me about a person who had organised a bloggers meeting in Melbourne, but it was on a week night, and I just don't go out at all on weeknights now. I know eBay regulars have meetings among themselves, but I've never been to any of them either.
