I am a wife to my darling husband Rob, he is my best friend truly he is, I am a mother of four and a grandmother to ten darlings. I enjoy living in the country and family is everything to us. The photo is of my grandmother, mother, little sister and ME a v.long time ago, but that is ok! because I enjoy following the path of woman who have gone before me.
The floods in Queensland are moving ever south and have left many missing and lives lost. there are now over 16,000 homes and businesses either washed away or filled with water.
These photos need no comments just looking seeing is enough!
Our hearts and prays go out to our neighbours in the northern states
I was just about to write to you and to Alice to say that I so hope that the danger and destruction are over soon, and that this sad time does not touch any of your family, except in their hearts and their feelings for their fellow countrymen.
I'm SO sorry to see this happen in such a wonderful, beautiful place, and wish you all a quick recovery and hearts' ease.
You're all in my thoughts and prayers---since I heard, I've thought of you and all the possibilities of sorrow and harm, and have been holding my little rosary in my hands during my prayers.
Sis brought it to me from the Vatican last month, where she'd had it blessed by a Cardinal during the Pope's absence.
It's just a small connection to you at this moment, and I hope you can feel the lift of my thoughts and prayers, my Faraway Friend.
This is absolutely heartbreaking!! I have heard about it on the news but had not seen photos until now. I pray for all the families affected. God help them.
Hi Lee Ann, I was just blog browsing beginning with a royalty one I follow, which led me to Patra's blog and now to yours! You might remember me as peters mum from the ebay collectable forum many moons ago. :)
We are in Toowoomba and it is heartwarming how many people have shown their concern with our flooding. Even those, like me, who got off very lightly have suffered for others and I don' think any of us will ever look at rain in the same way.
Nice to have found you, I'll add myself to your followers. :)
Hi Lee-Ann, I hope you don't mind me contacting you but I was doing a search on the net for items we recently lost in an earthquake here in Christchurch and your site came up and I was delighted to see you have a vast collection of a plate/bowl set we owned until recently and I'd dearly love to be able to buy some pieces from someone (anyone!) to have them back in our lives to help makes things normal again. Hope that makes sense. Let me know your thoughts. Kim from Christchurch NZ
HI Lee-ann, sorry to bother you but we recently lost some retro bowls/plates in the FEB earthquake in Christchurch and while searching for more of them on the net I discovered you have a vast collection of what we once owned till recently and it'd be great to be able to even just buy back some of our now broken pieces from someone (anyone!) to help make our lives more normal again. Let me know your thoughts, thanks, Kim from Christchurch NZ

Been seeing this on the news. It's awful. Wasn't it a few years ago when you had the terrible fires?
It's been pretty devastating Lee-ann but the true Aussie spirit is shining through and there are so many volunteers all willing to help those in need.
It's awful to see our beautiful city being swallowed up street by street by flood waters and recovery will take a long, long time.
Thank you for your prayers. There are those who are badly in need of those.

Looks like it is going to be a helluva lot worse. Cyclone Yasi is said to be akin to Hurricane Katrina...
How are you,Lee-Ann. Also Rob? Any news?
I've been following the flooding and general horrible weather of Australia in the news for weeks now. You are all in my prayers.
